Fernando Carro is confident that Xavier Alonso, who has a good relationship with the club, will continue working with Leverkusen team next season.

Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro has stressed that Xavier Alonso has a strong connection with the club and expects the Spaniard to continue working at the club amid links with Real Madrid looking for Carlo Ancelotti’s successor, Kolner Stadtanzeiger has revealed on Tuesday.

Alonso is contracted to Leverkusen until the summer of 2026 but Real Madrid are reportedly keen to bring him in to take over from Ancelotti next summer. But Carlo believes the good relationship between the club and the manager will see Alonso stay on at Leverkusen.
