Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou has confirmed his side are short of players in certain areas and will need to strengthen in the January transfer window.
Spurs have lost three of their last four Premier League games, dropping them to 11th in the table and were beaten 3-6 at home by Liverpool on Sunday.
The situation comes amid injuries to key players, including goalkeeper Guillermo Vicario and defenders Mickey Van de Ven and Cristian Romero.
Postecoglou has confirmed ahead of the trip to fourth-placed Nottingham Forest on December 26 that the club intend to strengthen in January.
“As I said a while ago, we have a plan, a lot of it is related to where we are now. We are missing players in some positions and we need to strengthen our squad,” Postecoglou said.
“January is a more difficult time in terms of where you bring in players. For us, it’s the idea of any club, I guess, to bring in players who make you stronger.”
